My Experience with the Orthopedics Doctor in Bangkok Hospital (NOT WHAT I EXPECTED)

This vlog is about a major surgery I had in an International Hospital in Bangkok and the care and service I received, and am still receiving. -Joe

hi guys Joe here, I had a major shoulder rotator cuff surgery yesterday but um everything went good so yeah I’m hearing bum rod hospital in a Bangkok and I must say they’re taking care of me pretty well yes mam keep me grounded as hi are they in a seat is there something else for me hey uh I finally had my surgery and doctor when you did an outstanding job but uh this is my doctor dr. Wynn you wanna come and this is one of my nurses and yeah they did an outstanding job on the surgery and everything so I’m very pleased with the cure that I’m receiving here at this hospital and I’ll tell you guys about that a little more taken look at this beautiful nurse Sarah they’re all so beautiful so no more am I gonna get my blood pressure taken they’ve been doing that at least four or five times a day and just took some pain medication so here I’m doing fine and yeah I got to tell you about the service there and everything that I’ve gone through totally unexpected this hospital for exceeds my expectations started out uh Monday I came from my pre-op and when I came from my Priya I was truly surprised because they did a blood work they did a bleedin test I seen a hotdog specialist I had an MRI I had a ultrasound done on my heart and talk to an anesthesiologist all of these things I’ve never gone through this before for her surgery I was totally amazed on a cure and a service that they provide here at the hospital so yeah and that was just on Monday and the total cost for all of that was I think it was like it was a hundred and thirty dollars is what I paid for the total total price for that and that the same day they booked my room in a hospital for the day I went into for the surgery it just major surgery of course a woman I have to spend two days two nights in the hospital maybe maybe even longer I don’t know because I’m still pretty swollen a little excuse me I got a lot of bum still got a lot of air in my chest my chest is pretty swollen still but um so far after the surgery I’ve seen my doctor two times and I see my heart specialist months and they are so caring I mean they come they ask you questions they want to make sure it sincerely that you’re okay they want to take care of you and here the nurses have been tremendous I mean anytime you call them that they’re there right there answering all of your questions I mean even a doctor I mean when I went to into the operation there was an anesthesiologist there as well and you know they’re very transparent he tells me he told me what the risks were you know ahead of time just to give me paper to saying like you know before I you know you go in the hospital for surgery you just sign a bunch of papers you really don’t breathe it you’re medicated it anyway but yeah so he told me that there’s a 0.2 percent of a chance that they could um actually damage your nerve I’m sorry I’m walking the other way and now it’s a dog he said there’s a 0.2 percent chance that they could damage a nerve or even hit the lung so you have to know about that and told me the exact procedure you know how they were going to after they put me under that they would put a tube down my my throat so I could breathe and actually the surgery was supposed to take three hours and I explained that in my other vlog 90% water scopic and probably 10% with an incision of about two centimeters but the surgery actually took five hours because my Bertha Pedic surgeon he did not want to have to do an incision he did not want to cut me which was truly appreciated I mean he could have went the easy way did the 90% and then cut me and had it all done in three hours but II took five hours very good doctor too very knowledgeable actually I checked them out online and very good very uh I mean I just can’t explain the service here in this hospital far exceeds my expectations when I first came in the hospital I was a little bit uh nervous like anyone you know I’m in a foreign country you hear so many different stories you know people saying this and people saying that and why Thailand and why this this hospital is very professional very clean it shows that they know what they’re doing they’re very caring I mean I would recommend this hospital for any I mean anywhere you go there’s always risk when you go in a hospital and you have a procedures but they truly take care of you care and they have taken care of me all the way and it it is truly truly appreciated I got to the hospital the my Thai friends David they were concerned so they made sure I got to the hospital in fact they even stayed with me when I check in I checked in on midnight Thursday midnight and they stayed with me until I got my room and then they went home look at these pretty nurses see how pretty all the nurses are here so I am definitely getting this party go I am definitely getting the best care that that you know truthfully this exceeds my every expectation I had I’m happy that I chose this hospital I’m happy that my cousin recommended this hospital to me before I even got to Thailand so shout out to Olga for recommending this hospital I truly appreciate it cuz great job and yeah so on my Thai friends like I said on gift and a mother they actually came here to the hospital with me the next day they went home in the next day they came back I spent the entire day and then left I think left about a 6 o’clock in the evening or something like that I fell asleep because I was medicated and of course and I woke up and gift was back here again and she actually spent a whole night she said no she’ll stay I said no you don’t have to there’s uh there’s nurses here and everything she said yeah I know but but um were your friends said well I’m just gonna stay so she stayed the whole night and stems left in the morning when and I guess took care of some things came back and I think I’m gonna be here tonight and she’s here right now I think she’s gonna spend a whole night I mean she’s uh she does or you know Facebook or whatever but I can’t ask for better friends and that shout out to my friend gift for coming hell meal you know so on yeah just wanted to let you guys know that if you’re if you’re you’re in Bangkok if you’re in Thailand and you do need some medical services I do recommend um God Hospital for sure and uh yeah they accepted my insurance my total like I said my total out-of-pocket so far has been a hundred and thirty dollars and I believe that’s all I’m responsible for and I the first time I seen the orthopedic and I got my MRI I paid forty dollars out of pocket so it was uh yeah pretty good not too uh not too bad for being in the foreign country they all speak very good English and there’s many folks from many other countries here and I even hear them saying asking them if they don’t speak English if they need a translator they get a translator for them so the service and the care here is again truly outstanding and again I want to thank all of you that have been sending your your well wishes on my Facebook page and and your prayers I truly appreciate it appreciate my type friends for taking care of me through this process but now that I’ve been through this I am truly truly uh a lot more at ease with the healthcare in Thailand I I’m no longer concerned I was concerned initially yeah definitely no longer concerned about that which is a good thing I feel that this is a good Hospital and that they could take care of my needs for any problems I may encounter while here in Thailand so that’s a good thing so yeah that’s an update on me being in the hospital it’s logica all the pretty nurses so I hope if you uh if you come to Thailand and if you have any concerns or issues I’m only telling you about the service that I care I’ve received from this hospital I’m truly impressed I’ve had this is my dirt rotator cuff surgery I had a stent and I had a hernia surgery and I can say out of all those procedures this is the best care that I have received the communication from the hospital staff the doctors the nurses is truly outstanding and yeah I couldn’t ask for a better place to be to take care of me okay guys this vlog here until next time stay
