Why Consider Macedonia?
Nikola Todorov, the Health Minister of Macedonia, has unveiled the plan to start a ‘Health Care Zone’ near Skopje, the capital. The hospitals that will be built within the zone will be funded by foreign companies and will cater especially to medical tourists. This is a big step ahead for Macedonia towards becoming one of the premier medical tourism destinations in the world. Additionally, the zone will be used to both train and then employ foreign doctors, adding to the benefit. This means that Macedonia is poised to become a medical tourist hub in the near future.
