okay guys so I’m just hanging around waiting now for the doctors post a heart heart specialist post come here about 12 o’clock to check me out because um unfortunately I mean I haven’t really been eating that much but I’m holding a lot of water I guess I haven’t been taking my blood pressure medicine for the last three days I actually started last night and I’m this morning the one pill I take is a high sorry it’s a blood pressure water pill so um I don’t know if they had anything to do with it but I’ve been going to the bathroom but anyway just for precautionary measures those hotdogs will come in there check me out before before I’m released and enough they’ll give me the UM final bill and everything you know when I get home I’ll let you guys know exactly what the total cost of everything was for me out of pocket and also what my insurance paid them yeah it’s not gonna be cheap I know them another thing is when I found out I had the five bankers put in the shoulder I actually had six anchors put in my right with rotator when I had surgery in 2013 and in the United States the anchors are actually considered third-party and I think I was responsible for about 30% of the course of those anchors and that was a nine hundred dollars out of my own pocket and I think here in Thailand the anchors are part of the surgery and not at their quality which is uh which is also another good thing so on not only am i saving our money but my insurance is saving a lot of money as well for me have a new procedure here on in and yeah like I was saying yesterday the service and the care and just the communication and the follow-up with the doctors and everything I’m just so amazed with all of that so uh yeah I’ll um wait for the doctor and now but you guys know how it goes hopefully and I’m gonna be released today I’m looking forward to being released today my um also another thing is my therapist my physical therapy I had for two days now they showed me what exercises I need to do I guess I’ll be responsible for doing that on my own five times a day which is no film problems I’m a mister exercise in anyway and I’ll come back every three days to have my um my bandages changed and then in two weeks I’ll get the I’ll get the stitches taken out they’re just small stitches of course because they needed to makes more I think it was four small incisions this time because I had the additional rotator cuff problem so yeah they and I needed that to put the camera up in there that’s normal for photos about this surgery okay so my heart doctor just left and he said really there’s no problem he said the the water wave is because I haven’t been taking my blood pressure medication over the past three days he said that’s normal he said I could resume taking all of that and and that what a way to go away so ya know no issues there and don’t release me now so I’m just gonna be waiting on the paperwork from the insurance what the total cost was to see if I have to pay anything else out of pocket and yeah I’ll be leaving the hospital I’m excited going home take care of myself of course I have my Thai friends are gonna help me out I’m certain of that okay guys so finally checking out of the hospital and I’m gonna pick up some medication over here and then I’m on my way home we want to catch a taxi of course don’t want to try to take the BTS this MV Brody nine dollars it also includes all of the medication that they gave me to take home with me the pain medication the medication for the swollen that I got antibiotics it included the surgery included the pre-op which was also seeing a heart specialist having an EKG or ECG hot ultrasound seen seen an embassy geologists physical therapy the surgery itself including on five anchors that they put in the set and the shoulder itself to to repair the rotator cuff those anchors are biodegradable so when in one year they should have actually be gone and yeah so hopefully I didn’t miss anything I seen my orthopedic surgeon what I seen him three times after the surgery seen my hotdog – two times after the surgery had physical therapy three times after the surgery so this is the charge is broken down the MRI sixteen thousand baht the hospital stay was switch surgery was six hundred and twenty four thousand 98 baht the free operation procedures were 10032 bots that came to a total of nineteen thousand six hundred and fifty six dollars and 53 cents that’s from start to finish my total out-of-pocket are you ready for this my total out-of-pocket nine thousand two hundred baht or two hundred and seventy eight dollars and sixteen cents amazing my insurance I had federal Blue Cross Blue Shield I carried that with me into my retirement when I retired from the government what they do is the hospital Kohl’s Blue Cross Blue Shield there it’s open seven days a week 24 hours a day they request guarantee payment leather they received that payment guarantee payment leather within two hours it gets an emergency the day or two if it’s not an emergency yeah so I didn’t have to pay any cash up front except for my copay like I said which totaled like I said is um two hundred and seventy eight dollars and sixteen cents so not too bad at all the hospital now has all of my information should I have an emergency for anything else they could call my insurance company get that pre-approval right away and I don’t have to worry about waiting or them not taking care of me because you know they’ve got their money first so anyway yeah this is what this is what my shovel looks like I have four small incisions so they could get the camera up in there typically when I had my other rotator cuff surgeries I only had three small incisions but like I said this rotator cuff was completely separated torn in one area and then tore in another so that’s the reason for the up four incisions and the five anchors so that’s the that’s the update on my hospital and and all of the procedures so
